But except when it comes to the rbd bullet solver it doesn’t like it as it also uses a name attribute what would be a good work around here?

Before you run your geo through the sim, you could make an attribute like 'original_name' and assign the values as if it was 'name'.
Then after the sim, you could delete all 'name' attributes with delete attribute sop, except 'original_name' attribute.

Then use the rename attribute sop to change your 'original_name' to 'name'.

If I attached a scene file could you show me what you mean?

As I’m not really sure?

Regards.

RBD sim in Solaris May 24, 2024, 3:56 p.m.

hello, not sure if anyone can help,

But I have a rbd sim (glass fracture) with two pieces of geometry

One a extruded grid and another a extruded piece of text the text sits the grid,

I have a Boolean sop to bring them together then two attribute creates one for each to create a name attribute for them, then to group for both referencing the attribute creates name

After that I run the rbd material fracture and bullet solver then apply separate materials to both,

When I run the sim the letters seem to mess up just as the fracture takes place.

Any idea why?

Regards
